The Office of Group Benefits allows participants to make changes to insurance coverage outside of open enrollment in the event of an OGB plan-recognized QLE.

Newborns: Application must be made within 30 days following the date of birth. Birth certificate/birth letter must be submitted with application. 

Death: Application must be made within 60 days following date of death. Copy of certified death certificate must be submitted with application.

Marriage: Application must be made within 30 days following the change of status. Marriage certificate and eligibility data for dependents must be submitted with application.
