ULM Residential Life Assignment Process
To live on-campus, students must complete ULM’s online housing application!
Thank you for reading the following information:
All Students
- The Fall 2024 Housing Application for ALL students will be available online Monday, January 1, 2024, at 8 am and will remain
open until the 14th class day of the Fall semester. Payment will be required to submit an application. All major credit cards are accepted.
- For First Time Freshmen, the priority deadline for scholarship and ACT consideration is Thursday, February 29, 2024.
- From January 1 to May 1, First Time Freshmen pay a total of $500 fee:
- $300 is due ($200 room reservation fee (non-refundable) and $100 prepayment of the
fall bill) at the time of application.
- Within 5 business days after submitting a complete and paid application, a Fall 2024
2nd Prepayment application will be available on eRezLife. This 2nd prepayment is $200
and is due by May 1 to secure an assignment and/or waitlist position.
- From May 2 until the application closes, First Time Freshman pay a total of $200 fee:
- $200 room reservation fee (non-refundable) at the time of application.
- For Continuing students, the priority deadline is Sunday, March 31, 2024.

- From January 1 to May 1, Continuing students pay a total of $500 fee:
- $300 is due ($100 room reservation fee (non-refundable) and $200 prepayment of the
fall bill) at the time of application.
- Within 5 business days after submitting a complete and paid application, a Fall 2024
2nd Prepayment application will be available on eRezLife. This 2nd prepayment is $200

- From May 2 until the application closes, Continuing students pay a total of $100 fee:
- $100 room reservation fee (non-refundable) at the time of application.
- For New-to-Campus / Transfer students, the priority deadline is Thursday, February 29, 2024.

2nd PREPAYMENT
(through eRezLife until May 2, 2024, using myULM login information)
ONLY available after submitting a complete and paid Fall 2024 application.
This 2nd prepayment is required to secure your assignment and/or waitlist position.
All major credit cards are accepted.
Not completing an application is not a housing exemption!
Cancellation of Application/Contract
- The last day to submit the housing exemption paperwork is Monday, April 1, 2024, before
5 pm to Auxiliary Enterprises, Strauss Hall, Room 260.
- The last day to cancel and receive a refund for your prepayment fee(s) is Wednesday, May 1, 2024. After this, no refunds will be given. Cancelling your application by May 1 means you are not attending ULM or have been
approved for a housing exemption through Auxiliary Enterprises.
- Should you cancel by May 1, you will only be eligible to receive your prepayment(s) back. The room reservation fee is a non-refundable fee. If a refund of the prepayment is allowed, please allow 2-4 weeks for processing outside
our department.

After moving in, students who reside on-campus may not cancel their application/contract
mid-year unless they are leaving the university or they are graduating.
Building Requirements
- The following are the Residential Life academic requirements:
- Madison, Ouachita, and Masur require at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA to live on campus,
priority will be given to students who have a 2.3 or above.
- University Commons and University Suites require at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Bayou Suites is considered a Scholar’s Hall and requires:
- at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA for continuing students.
- at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA and composite ACT score of 24 for first time freshmen.
- Apartment Building 5 and a portion of Apartment Building 6 are considered upperclassmen
Scholar’s Halls and require at least 30 ULM credit hours (Dual Enrollment and Transfer Hours are not
counted). GPA requirements for these are:
- at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA for continuing students.
- Apartment Building 7 and a portion of Apartment Building 6 are considered upperclassmen halls and require at least 30 ULM credit hours (Dual Enrollment and Transfer Hours are not counted).
GPA requirements for these are
- at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA for continuing students.
- Warhawk Village Apartments require at least a 2.3 cumulative GPA with at least 24
ULM credit hours earned (Dual Enrollment and Transfer Hours are not counted) or a scholarship recipient.
Roommate Requests
- Requests are completed in eRezLife by creating a Roommate Group, after all persons
have completed a housing application. Roommate requests must be mutual.
- If two students request each other as roommates, their assignment date will be the
later of the two student's application date.
- If you do not have a roommate request, eRezLife has a Roommate Searching feature called
RoomeeZ, where students can find other on-campus residents to request in a roommate
group.
