OTD Admission Requirements

Applicants for admission to the OTD Program must complete the following minimum criteria by the end of the Fall semester that application is made: 

  1. have a baccalaureate degree in a field or major other than occupational therapy, from a Department of Education accredited college or university;
  2. have a minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale and no less than a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the last 60 hours;
  3. complete all prerequisite courses with a grade of “C” or better; and
  4. be admitted to the ULM Graduate School per the ULM Graduate School admission policies.

Our programs accept prerequisite credit from a college or university accredited and recognized at the institutional level by the US Department of Education. Please note that we will not accept online prerequisite course credit from Straighterline.com.

Application requirements must be submitted to the ULM Graduate School no later than December 1 each year by 12:00 noon. If December 1 falls on a weekend or holiday, the due date will be 12:00 noon on the last school day prior to December 1. LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Students must have official copies of their transcripts submitted to the ULM Graduate School by the application deadline date.  Official transcripts of the current application semester must also be received by ULM Graduate School by the end of the Fall semester of the application year.
