Bloodborne Pathogens Program

The University has implemented a policy to provide protection to all employees from bloodborne pathogens.  For specific details, please see the policy linked below:

One of the main methods of protection from bloodborne pathogens offered through the University's program is Hepatitis B vaccinations for employees who regularly encounter bloodborne pathogens in their course of work.  These jobs are further defined in the policy above.  The vaccination is not mandatory.  However, if an employee chooses to decline the vaccine, he/she must fill out the employee declination form linked below:

To accept the Hepatitis B vaccination and schedule it, print and fill out the acceptance form linked below and bring to the Human Resources department located at Coenen Hall:

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, incorporating the Needlestick Safety and Prevention Act of 2000, is designed to protect at-risk employees from exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials and is located here:
