One of the main methods of protection from bloodborne pathogens offered through the University's program is Hepatitis B vaccinations for employees who regularly encounter bloodborne pathogens in their course of work. These jobs are further defined in the policy above. The vaccination is not mandatory. However, if an employee chooses to decline the vaccine, he/she must fill out the employee declination form linked below:

incorporating the Needlestick Safety and Prevention Act of 2000, is designed to protect
at-risk employees from exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials
