ULM's Phi Kappa Phi initiates new members

The University of Louisiana at Monroe chapter of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society recently initiated 79 new members.

This number represents ULM faculty members, students, and alumni.

Established in 1897, the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi is the oldest and largest national honor society, which recognizes and encourages superior scholarship in all academic disciplines.

Phi Kappa Phi elects students from the upper 7.5 percent of the junior class, the upper 10 percent of the senior class, superior graduate students and distinguished faculty and alumni.

Meeting Phi Kappa Phi's criteria signifies excellence.

The following faculty, students, and alumni are the newest to receive the honor:

Alumni: Carole Eady Kilpatrick, (B.A. '63), and Laura Kilpatrick Marchelos, (B.S. '90).

Faculty: Dr. Eugenie Goodwin, assistant professor of finance, insurance, and economics, and Dr. Chris Michaelides, associate professor of world languages.
