ULM names new pharmacy associate dean
The University of Louisiana at Monroe recently named Gina Biglane the Associate Dean for Assessment in the College of Pharmacy.
Biglane, Pharm.D, has contributed to the success of the pharmacy program, said College of Pharmacy Dean Benny Blaylock, Ph.D.
“Dr. Biglane has served the College of Pharmacy as Assistant Dean for the Monroe campus since 2008. She was instrumental in establishing several pharmacy residency programs in Louisiana and is the Director of the LSUHSC-Alexandria Residency program. Dr. Biglane has also played an important role in the area of Mission, Planning and Development for the College of Pharmacy for the past several years. Her outstanding leadership, organizational skills and academic experience will serve the College of Pharmacy well in her new position as Associate Dean for Assessment,” he said.
Biglane completed her undergraduate degree with honors at ULM in 1990 and obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida in 2001.
She has served ULM’s College of Pharmacy in various capacities since 2001.
She replaces Dr. Lesa Lawrence, who recently retired.
