Graves appointed ULM's new CBO
Dr. William Graves, the former Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration at Louisiana Delta Community College, has joined the University of Louisiana at Monroe as Chief Business Officer.
As the CBO, and head of ULM's Division of Business Affairs, Graves will strive to provide "effective and efficient services," supporting ULM’s mission of instruction, research and public service.
ULM’s Business Affairs provides financial management, human resource support, procurement services and maintains the physical plant to ensure the best learning environment.
“I am grateful for the opportunity that I’ve been given at the University of Louisiana at Monroe,” said Graves.
“The role of Chief Business Officer at a four-year university has been a career goal of mine for some time, and I recognize the responsibility that comes with this position. I look forward to working with the faculty and staff in using our financial resources to serve our students in the best way possible.”
At LDCC, Graves served in a similar capacity to the job he assumes at ULM.
His previous experience includes a job as the Comptroller and Director of Accounting at Texas A&M University-Commerce, a Senior Analyst position at the University of Mississippi, and 17 years in the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning System Office.
Graves earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from the University of Mississippi in 2005. He is a certified public accountant and a member of Mississippi’s Society of CPAs.
