New Higher Ed Commissioner to discuss ULM's impact on region Sept. 19
Commissioner of Higher Education Jim Purcell and Board of Regents Chairman Robert Levy will be visiting the University of Louisiana at Monroe Monday, Sept. 19, to discuss the current status and future potential of the region.
The session will be held from 8:30 - 10 a.m. on the seventh floor in the ULM Library Conference Center, and is open to the public.
The conversation will include information about the future of Louisiana, local communities, and how higher education can help the northeast region of the state.
The meeting will provide a great opportunity for various constituencies to make known the contributions of ULM to this region.
Organizers are particularly interested in hearing from local leaders about priorities and plans, and encourage those who will be in attendance to provide input, and ask any questions regarding these very important topics.
