"Mikado: Southern-Fried" cast announced; ULM production set for Nov. 3 – 5
The University of Louisiana at Monroe Music and Theatre Department has announced its cast for "Mikado: Southern-Fried," set for performance Nov. 3 – 5 in Brown Auditorium.
Leading roles will be performed by: Will Tatum, Mellissa Tomei-Champion, Orlandzeo Hennings, Amy Matherne, Scott Webster, Alyssa Flowers, and Darrien Bryant.
Other important roles will be sung by: Hannah McCarty, Shelby Wright, Allison Friloux, McKenna Giovingo, Farris Wilmore, Anna Beagley, Krystal Qualls, Cameron Smith, Nathaniel Medlin, and Steven Patterson.
The production will be conducted by Dr. Debi Chandler and will be directed by Dr. Mark Ross Clark.
The Mikado, a popular musical play, is reset and rescripted to a new setting in the ULM version. It takes place in a Japanese auto factory in Mississippi to recognize the Japanese culture mixed with the Southern.
