Residents invited to free and low-cost health screenings April 2
Area residents who think they might benefit from free or low-cost health screenings will want to take advantage of the University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy Health Fair from 8 a.m. – noon on Saturday, April 2.
The event will be held at the ULM Activity Center on Warhawk Way.
ULM's Health Fair offers attendees the opportunity for preventative health screenings and educational opportunities at minimal or no cost. Snacks will be provided and door prizes awarded hourly.
Among the screenings offered to participants will be blood pressure screening; blood glucose screening; cholesterol screening; INR screening; hemoglobin A1C measurement; body fat measurement; bone density measurement; carbon monoxide detection and airway obstruction detection.
Diet and nutrition resources; smoking cessation programs; exercise information; and information on diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol management will also be offered.
