The regional science fair is held every year in March to promote awareness of, and interest in, the scientific method among youth, according to Dr. Faisal Kaleem.
"It also helps the students to develop an interest in getting an education, which can play a great role in making them successful people later on," he said.
"In supporting the Region III Annual Science Fair, ULM's College of Arts and Sciences demonstrates its commitment to outreach among young students, who will be the region's and nation's future leaders in scientific and mathematical research," said College of Arts and Sciences Dean Jeffrey Cass.
"It's our mission and our public duty to ensure that young minds have a forum to explore and investigate the natural world."
