Spring Career Fair brings iPad and job prospects to ULM senior
Attending a Career Fair is a reward unto itself, as ULM senior Casey Smalley recently discovered.
Not only did Smalley rub elbows with prospective employers, he was the lucky winner of a drawing for a 32-gigabyte iPad given by ULM Career Connections at its 2011 Spring All-Majors Career Fair.
All students who preregistered and attended the Fair were eligible to win.
"It was definitely worth my time to dress up and get my resume ready for the Career Fair," he said. "Mainly for the business contacts I made—but now also this iPad is a great bonus!"
Smalley was equally enthusiastic about the ULM College of Business Administration, especially its Finance Program, which he believes has prepared him well for his future career.
Smalley, finance major and native of Jonesboro, Ark., graduated from West Monroe High School and has attended ULM since 2007. He is also an employee of Progressive Bank.
The Office of Career Connections also receives his praise.
"Thanks to ULM and its Office of Career Connections for giving me the opportunity to meet prospective employers – and thanks for the iPad!"
