Memorial service for President Emeritus George T. Walker set for July 9

With Dr. George T. Walker’s passing on June 19, ULM lost one of its founding pillars and staunchest supporters.

The Walker family has announced that a memorial service to honor President Emeritus Walker will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 9, at First Presbyterian Church, 1201 Stubbs Ave., Monroe, with a reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home and online condolences may be made to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com.

The family has requested that memorial gifts may be made to the ULM Foundation (ref: Mary Ellen and George Thomas Walker Scholarship Endowment), 700 University Ave., Monroe, LA 71209.
