Educators and public invited to free Literacy Lab workshop on Feb. 16
The ULM College of Education and Human Development Literacy Lab presents a free workshop, Response to Intervention (RTI) from 5 to 7 p.m., Feb. 16, in Room 270 of Strauss Hall.
This workshop is open to the public. All teachers, parents, teacher candidates and ULM students are welcome to attend.
According to the State Department of Education, RTI is not just for Special Education students, it is required for every student in the classroom.
Dr. Sheryln Powell will show participants how to provide targeted interventions for students in math and literacy. Continuing education credit is available.
Refreshments will be available, and door prizes will be awarded.
