ULM Band Department presents final concerts of spring semester
The University of Louisiana at Monroe Band Department will present its final concerts of the semester in April.
The Percussion Ensemble will perform one of the most popular and well attended concerts at 7:30 p.m., Monday, April 11, in Brown Auditorium, followed by the ULM Jazz Ensemble, which will perform at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, in Brown Auditorium.
Associate Professor of Music Larry Anderson conducts both ensembles.
The Wind Ensemble, conducted by Derle R. Long, will perform at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 14, in Brown Auditorium.
The ensemble will perform the music of Ron Nelson, James Clifton Williams, Jan Van der Roost, Bedrich Smetana, and C. E. Duble.
This concert is also the ensemble's send-off for their annual Spring Recruiting Tour, which will include two performances in the Bossier City area and performances in Vicksburg and Raymond, Miss.
The Symphonic Band will perform at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 21, in Brown Auditorium.
The program is set to feature music by David Holsinger, Richard Rogers, David Schaffer, Robert W. Smith, and Thomas Ruby. The Symphonic Band is conducted by Jason Rinehart.
