ULM Mortar Board honors Top 10 faculty and staff
The University of Louisiana at Monroe chapter of the Mortar Board College Senior Honor Society recognizes its Top 10 faculty and staff members for 2010-2011.
Mortar Board is a national honor society for college seniors who demonstrate outstanding achievement in scholarship, leadership and service.
The group selects the Top 10 faculty and staff annually. This year's honorees include:
• Joyce Bennett, supervisor, Campus Mail Services, nominated by Brent Gibert
• Tommie Church, instructor in Kinesiology, nominated by Michael Hatchett
• Betty Fox, administrative assistant, Student Government Association, nominated by Brooke Dugas
• Dr. Jana M. Giles, assistant professor of English, nominated by Karen Woolie
• Alberta Green, associate director, Career Connections, nominated by Kendra Joseph
• Dr. Charles Holloway, professor of Foreign Languages, nominated by Hailey Boyter
• Dr. Thomas Junk, associate professor of Chemistry, nominated by Atheia Holland, Miranda Dejean, and Renisha Converse
• Mary Elizabeth Sewell, coordinator, Freshman Year Experience, and academic advisor, Student Success Center, nominated by Megan Guillot
• Dr. Allison Wiedemeier, assistant professor of Biology, nominated by Hunter Christy
• Ivory Williams, administrative coordinator, Food Services, nominated by Raquel Wiggins
