ULM graduating senior selected for competitive national internship

Seth Hall, a senior marketing major at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, recently received a competitive internship through the National Orientation Directors Association.

Hall, from West Monroe, will begin work at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, with that school’s freshman orientation program after he graduates in May.

Any NODA school can post internships that students from around the country can apply for. Hall chose SHSU because their program would allow him to work directly with students during both freshman and transfer orientation.

Hall indicated that he has been working toward this internship since his own freshman year at ULM’s Preview Registration and Enrollment Program, or PREP as it is called, and he said he looks forward to bringing back to ULM what he learns since his eventual goal is to become an orientation director here.

“I have so much to learn, but a great desire to do so,” Hall said. “This is going to be one of those experiences that leaves a lasting impression on my life.”
