The University of Louisiana at Monroe’s School of Visual and Performing Arts will co-host the annual Summer Dance Intensive Workshop with the Twin City Ballet Company, July 19–29.
ULM's dance studios and theater complex will lend their facilities to young dancers and guest faculty throughout the 10-day workshop.
Intermediate and advanced level participants from Louisiana and surrounding areas will take instructive dance classes in ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, tap and body conditioning.
Linda Ford, artistic director of the Twin City Ballet and Gretchen Jones, faculty member of the ULM Division of Theatre and Dance, directs the TCBC workshop. Young dancers, ages nine and older with their dance instructor’s recommendation, are invited to attend and experience phenomenal dance education in Monroe.
An evening performance to show off the dancer’s progress will take place in Brown Auditorium on the ULM campus, Thursday, July 29.
