ULM only second in nation to offer convenience of on-campus AT&T retailer
The University of Louisiana at Monroe is now the first in the state and only the second in the nation to offer a full-service AT&T retailer inside its campus bookstore, according to Saquib Roy, an independent authorized AT&T agent and ULM Alum.
"We started working on offering this service last year and were finally able to do so in mid-January," said Roy. "And just this week, we are able to accept Warhawk Express from students as an added convenience."
ULM joins Auburn University as one of only two colleges in the nation to offer the convenience of an on-campus, full-service phone and Internet service provider, according to Roy.
Roy and James "Bubba" Richardson, executive business development manager, said the new retailer offers all the services and products a client expects from any AT&T store, including telephone service, wireless Internet service and Netbook, to name a few.
A live "phone bar" also offers students the chance to try out a large selection of cell phones before buying.
"This is a win-win for us and the university," said Roy, who has eight AT&T locations throughout northeast Louisiana. "We are able to develop potential clients and the university is able to expand the range of convenient services and products it provides to its students."
