ULM Muslim Student Association hosts presentation April 26

The Muslim Student Association at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will host a presentation titled “Muslim Women in America: a Perspective” at 6 p.m. on April 26 in the Student Union Building Ballroom E.

Speaker Carmen Shbeeb-Khanfar will discuss numerous issues during the presentation, including a brief introduction to Islam in which she will address common misconceptions and stereotypes associated with Muslim women. Her presentation will also address the challenges and opportunities of Muslim women living in America.

A question and answer session and light refreshments will follow the presentation.
