Area registered nurses invited to attend ULM continuing education program May 2

Registered nurses are invited to attend a continuing education program from 8 a.m. to 2:35 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, at the University of Louisiana at Monroe campus.

The Continuing Education Committee of the ULM School of Nursing is presenting the program at a cost of only $25, which will provide five contact hours for professional nurses. ULM Nursing faculty may attend for $10.

The program, “Caring for the Greatest Generation: Nursing Care of the Elderly,” features three ULM faculty speakers: Dr. Chris Johnson, Dr. Linda Sabin, and Nancy Moss.

RNs and Advanced Practice RNs with a particular interest in geriatric care will find the program beneficial. The purpose of the program is to improve the delivery of healthcare to this special group of patients.

The program will be held in the nursing laboratory on the second floor of Sandel Hall on the ULM campus.

For more information about the program or registration, contact Continuing Education Coordinator Shari Moreau, RN, MSN, at (318) 342-1673 or e-mail her at smoreau@ulm.edu.

Early registration by phone or mail enters the attendee in a special door prize drawing. Other door prizes will be awarded throughout the day of the program.
