ULM graduate to serve as division chair of Broadcast Education Association
A University of Louisiana at Monroe alum was named the chair of the Management, Marketing, and Programming Division of the Broadcast Education Association.
William G. Covington Jr., Ph.D., is on the faculty of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where he also serves as the advisor for Educational Television. He will begin his two-year term this year and attend the annual BEA convention in Las Vegas, Nev.
Covington formerly served as the division newsletter editor and vice chair. He has presented numerous papers at conferences and written two textbooks on broadcast station management.
Covington earned his master's degree from ULM in 1984 and his bachelor's degree in 1976.
