ULM names winners of 16th Annual High School Junior/Senior Juried Art Exhibition
The winners of the 16th Annual High School Junior/Senior Juried Art Exhibition at the University of Louisiana at Monroe have been announced.
The exhibit allows northern Louisiana junior/senior high school students to submit their works in competition, without fee. All entries are juried by a panel of ULM art faculty members on creativity, presentation and mastery of the chosen medium.
The winners are:
- Ben Kay, Gretchen Dean Best of Show Award
- Ashley “Nicole” Johnson, Division of Art Second Place Award
- Cortez Carter, Shelby Knighten and Corey Britton, Beverly Jean Marvin Awards
- Hanying Lu, Ellena Moody and Ashley “Nicole” Johnson, Merit Awards and DataBank IMX gift certificates.
The show is hosted by the ULM Division of Art of the School of Visual and Performing Arts. The ULM Campus Activities Board also supplies partial funding.
The exhibit will continue through April 2 at ULM’s Bry Art Gallery. It is free and open to the public.
Bry Art Gallery’s hours are 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m.-12 p.m. on Friday.
