Region III Science Olympiad to occur March 7 at ULM
The Region III Science Olympiad will occur Saturday, March 7, on the ULM campus.
Students will register between 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the Student Union Building Ballroom. The events will continue from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., followed by a lunch and the awards ceremony.
The Science Olympiad will involve an estimated 300 students from over 20 high schools and middle schools as they progress through the competition. The students will compete in 46 science events ranging from building actual bridges to be load tested, to constructing and testing rockets that will be launched, to conducting chemistry experiments, to building robots, and taking exams in Earth Sciences, meteorology and chemistry.
The events will be held in Hanna Hall, Garrett Hall, the Chemistry and Natural Science Building, the Construction Building, the Nursing Building parking lot, and Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
