ULM employees invited to campus Health Fair March 30
Attention ULM employees: putting your health first has never been so easy!
The University of Louisiana at Monroe Nursing Department will host a Health Fair Monday, March 30, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Activity Center. Due to a supply limit, it is only open to ULM employees. There is no charge.
Level V nursing students organized the event in response to an analysis of the ULM employees. The research determined that they would benefit from health promotion in areas like smoking cessation and dehydration, among others.
Nursing senior Tiffany Terra of Monroe encouraged all to attend. “This health fair will hopefully instill some life-long health-promoting behaviors in the employees at ULM.”
The community partners expected to participate include:
- St. Francis Medical Center - blood glucose screenings
- The Kitty DeGree Breast Health Center - self-breast examination instructions
- Glenwood Regional Medical Center - behavioral health information
- LifeShare Blood Centers - cholesterol screenings
- and many others providing useful and beneficial facilities and services.
