31 Ambassadors awarded for excellence at ASAP District IV conference

The University of Louisiana at Monroe 31 Ambassadors returned from yet another conference with honors – this time from the annual Association of Student Advancement Programs’ District IV Conference, held in Houston Feb. 27-March 1.

The ULM group won two of the four awards given. Amy Tidwell, a pharmacy senior from Springhill, won the 2009 Outstanding Student Leader Award. The 31 Ambassadors together won the 2009 Outstanding External Program for this year’s Chili Cook-Off.

District Four includes ambassador programs from Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Mexico.

The 31 Ambassadors are a high profile, high-energy organization composed of some of ULM's finest students. They serve as the official host for alumni-related activities while sponsoring events aimed at increasing student awareness of ULM and its Alumni Association.
