LLO entices theatre-going public with an offer they can't refuse on June 5

Louisiana Lyric Opera is making an offer theatre fans can't refuse or simply shouldn't!

The public is invited to mingle with the LLO cast of "Miss Saigon" on the back patio of Austin's Bistro, 311 Hudson Lane, from 8 to 10 p.m., June 5, where they may purchase tickets (cash or check only) as they meet-and-greet the stars.

Partygoers will be treated to a complimentary glass of wine, behind the scenes information for the upcoming performance, and an insider's perspective on the movie, Godfather III.

Featured performer Franc D'Ambroiso, who also played the role of the adult Anthony Vito Corleone in the film Godfather III, will be on hand.

The LLO presents the first performance of "Miss Saigon" at 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 12, in Brown Auditorium on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Additional performances are at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, June 13, and 2 p.m., Sunday, June 14.

Rising stars from across the nation, as well as ULM students and faculty are also featured in the production.

Miss Saigon, a modern adaptation of Giacomo Puccini's opera Madame Butterfly, tells of a doomed romance between an Asian woman and the American lover who abandons her in 1970's Saigon during the Vietnam War.

Tickets are $75 for reserved seating, which includes entrance to the Bon Aire Patron Party, as well as a meet-and-greet with the cast immediately following the performance.

General admission tickets are $25 for orchestra and $15 for balcony seats.
