ULM instructor appointed to ACSM Executive Council
Brian Coyne, director of the Human Performance Laboratory at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, was elected an At-Large member to the American Council of Sports Medicine Committee on Certification and Registry Board Executive Council.
The announcement was made at the ACSM Annual Meeting in Seattle, where Coyne chaired and presented at a symposium titled "Best Practices Exercise Rehabilitation for Chronic Disease Clients."
Coyne's appointment was voted on by thousands of ACSM certified individuals in the U.S. and internationally. As a member, Coyne will provide a voice for his peers, and will work to advance the concerns of clinical and fitness exercise professionals across the globe.
"It is a great honor. I look forward to being able to serve all of ACSM certified individuals in this role," said Coyne.
