ULM’s Alpha Epsilon named outstanding chapter in the nation
University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy students Kristen Morgan and Lauren Davis attended the 47th Annual Kappa Epsilon Convention in Indianapolis, where it was announced ULM’s Alpha Epsilon chapter received the Outstanding Collegiate Chapter Award for 2008-09.
Kappa Epsilon is a professional pharmacy fraternity that supports professional and personal development, provides networking opportunities, promotes pharmacy as a career, and participates in various breast cancer awareness efforts
“We have had a blast meeting other KEs and I have some great ideas for next school year,” said Morgan. “This is such an outstanding honor! To put this in perspective, there are 37 active KE chapters and only one chapter receives this award per year.”
“This is an exceptional accomplishment by an outstanding group of young ladies,” said Interim Dean W. Greg Leader, Pharm.D.
“This achievement speaks highly of their professional and personal character, leadership skills and altruistic spirit. It is also a reflection of the outstanding leadership provided to the group by its advisors, Mary Caldwell, Nancy Pierron, and Dr. Benny Blaylock,” said Leader.
