ULM Older Worker Program receives accolades by National Council on Aging
The ULM Older Worker Program was recently honored at the National Council on Aging Director’s Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz., where it exceeded the goal set by the Department of Labor by 30 percent and was rated second in the nation.
The ULM Older Worker Program is a Senior Community Service Employment Program that assists persons 55 and older with employment needs.
The program competed against projects in California, Georgia, Kentucky, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
The program was implemented 26 years ago and serves Caldwell, Catahoula, Concordia, East Carroll, Franklin, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, Tensas and West Carroll Parish.
