ULM students win 21 prestigious ADDY Awards
University of Louisiana at Monroe students walked away from this year’s renowned ADDY Awards program with 21 celebrated Student ADDY Awards, presented by the American Federation of Advertisers Northeast Louisiana Chapter March 12.
ULM students, ranging from diverse majors, submitted a total of 46 student entries in the American Advertising Federation Student ADDY Awards Competition section.
The following students earned these awards:
• Sharron Holmes, a marketing senior from Bastrop; one Silver
• Jessica Ayodele a marketing senior from Grand Prairie, Texas; one Silver
• Josh Tubre, a marketing junior from St. Joseph; one Silver
• Kelsea McCrary, an art senior from Bastrop; two Gold and the Judges Award
• Joffre Shivers, a marketing junior from Shreveport; one Gold
• Myleka Williams, a marketing senior from Marksville; one Silver
• Vrinda Patel, a business administration and radiologic technology senior from Bogalusa; three Gold, one Silver and Best of Show in the Student category
• John Bruscato, an economics senior from Monroe; one Silver
• Jennifer Holtzclaw, a marketing senior from Leesville; one Gold
• Marion Lehmann, a marketing senior from Monroe; one Gold
• Michael Braddock, a marketing senior from Grayson; one Silver
• Sarah Sisk, a marketing senior from Monroe; one Gold and three Silver
• Shantell Parker, a marketing senior from Shreveport; three Gold
• Ashley Bankston, a marketing senior from Bastrop; three Silver
• Shelly Roberson, a marketing senior from Oak Grove; one Silver
• Emily Giger, a marketing senior from Monroe; one Silver
• Ashlyn Labat, an accounting senior from Denham Springs; one Gold
• Conner Clark, an accounting senior from West Monroe; one Silver
• Keith Chamberlin, a senior; one Silver
• Megan Hall, a marketing junior from Columbia; one Gold
• John Blanchard, a general studies senior from New Iberia; one Gold and the Judges Award
According to the AAF, the not-for-profit industry association that administers the ADDY Awards via 200 member advertising clubs and 15 districts, this student competition is designed especially for college students. This category allows work entered at a local level to advance up to regional and national judging, just like the work entered by professionals across the United States.
As stated on the AAF Web site, “The ADDY Awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising from media of all types.”
