Snyder to appear as Guest Artist on Campus Sept. 30
As part of its Guest Artists on Campus Series, ULM’s School of Visual and Performing Arts is proud to present Mark Snyder in a recital Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the Emy-Lou Biedenharn Recital Hall.
Snyder is a composer, performer and teacher living in Cleveland, Miss. Enabled with a laptop, video projector, clarinet, tuba, and accordion, Snyder creates multimedia compositions with themes as varied as a caricature of a Swedish dockworker turned astronaut. He equates his own transition to parenthood with De Quincey's writings on opium and orchestrates these with live instrument processing, prerecorded sounds and video.
Tickets are free to ULM faculty, staff and students with I.D. Tickets for the general public are $15.
