ULM receives positive report from the Louisiana Legislative Auditor
A review of ULM’s financial operations, control systems, and financial reports concludes that the University of Louisiana at Monroe is in strict accordance with current accounting standards and reveals “no findings.”
The review, conducted by the Legislative Auditor's Office, spans two years: July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2008.
ULM President James Cofer thanked ULM’s Office of Business Affairs.
“I applaud the diligence of Vice President for Business Affairs Dave Nicklas and his team. They put forth a lot of effort, ensuring a successful audit review.”
The positive report is particularly important and timely, as ULM will complete the process of reaffirming accreditation by SACS, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, in 2009. SACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education as the regional body that accredits educational institutions in this part of the country.
