Nicole Walker, ULM associate controller and ULM MBA graduate ('07), presented a paper titled "Marketing Fraud: Pyramid Schemes Vs. Multi-Level Marketing" at the International Academy of Business and Public Administration Disciplines Conference held in Dallas, Texas April 24 – 27.
Walker's paper explained the differences between the two marketing approaches and provided advice to marketers to insure multi-level marketing businesses do not become illegal pyramid schemes.
This paper was written as a requirement in Dr. Laurie Babin's MBA Strategic Marketing course at ULM, in which Walker was enrolled in the fall 2007 semester.
