Eighth Annual Student Research Symposium set for April 30; application deadline April 21
ULM will host the Eighth Annual Student Research Symposium Wednesday, April 30 from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the ULM Conference Center, housed in the Library on the 7th floor. The awards ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 p.m.
The Symposium serves as a vehicle to showcase the outstanding research being conducted by graduate and undergraduate students at ULM. In its eight-year history, the event has provided a platform for the research presentation of approximately 2,301 students.
Those actively pursuing their degrees and who have been officially enrolled in either undergraduate or graduate programs during the 2007 – 08 academic year are eligible to participate and are encouraged to do so. Students who previously showcased their research at the Symposium are invited to do so again.
The application deadline is “close of business” Monday, April 21. Applications may be found at: www.ulm.edu/symposium, along with specific rules information and a PowerPoint poster presentation template as a guide.
For more information, contact the Symposium Task Force representative within individual departments/colleges, or contact Dr. Walter Creekmore, chairman, at: (318) 342-1291 or creekmore@ulm.edu.
