Women’s Poetry in the Park scheduled for March 11
Women’s Poetry in the Park, the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s annual English-sponsored event, will occur Tuesday, March 11 from 12:30 – 2 p.m., this year indoors in the Hemphill Airway and Computer Science Building, room 134.
There will be a performance of Emily Dickinson’s letters and poetry by Dr. Cathy Airhart Webb, followed by open microphone readings of women’s poetry.
Dr. Sandra Hill, assistant professor of English outlined the event’s goal. “The idea is to see a crowd reading, enjoying poetry and ‘dwelling in possibility.’”
