Hunt receives scholarship from Northeast Louisiana Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors
The Northeast Louisiana Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors recently presented a $500 scholarship to ULM risk management and insurance major Ashley Hunt, a senior.
Gary Roshto, a past president and current board member of the organization, made the presentation and indicated the organization plans to make the $500 scholarship presentation on a semester basis in the future.
Dr. Christine Berry, director of Insurance Studies, said she is excited about the development of a relationship between the insurance program and the association, which should help students interested in the field of insurance financial services.
The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors organization, over 110 years old, is open to members who have an interest or background as financial consultants, insurance agents, CPAs, bankers, stock brokers or other financial services area.
