ULM 31 Ambassadors awarded for excellence during regional conference in New Orleans
For the third consecutive year, the 31 Ambassadors at the University of Louisiana at Monroe were honored at the Association of Student Advancement Programs’ district conference in New Orleans, Feb. 29-March 2.
The group was named Outstanding Student Organization for District 4, which includes ambassador programs from Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Mexico. This marks the second time in three years the 31’ers have received this prestigious award.
Pam Pickett, advisor for the 31 Ambassadors, was pleased with the announcement. “The 31 Ambassadors receiving this award is a result of the hard work and dedication placed into their events all year. I appreciate all the time the Ambassadors volunteer toward the student body and Alumni Association and am pleased they have been recognized at the District level once again.”
During a Masquerade Ball hosted by the conference Saturday evening, the 31 Ambassadors out-dressed 20 other universities in attendance and were named the winners of a costume contest. They masqueraded as The Blues Brothers.
