ULM students receive ADDY awards at Northeast Louisiana Advertising Club luncheon
Several talented University of Louisiana at Monroe students received ADDY awards at the Northeast Louisiana Advertising Club luncheon May 7.
The awards presented at the luncheon result from the Spring 2008 Student Competition, recognizing the achievement of university students who are attending during the titular semester. A total of 53 student entries were received.
The following students won with magazine ad entries:
- Julius Bischoff: Gold ADDY for “Dasani, Hikers Wanted”; Silver ADDY for “Smoking Holds You Back”
- Hanna Herrington: Silver ADDY for “Simon G Jewelry”
- John Bruscato: Silver ADDY for “O Lucky Outback”
- Michael Braddock: Gold ADDY for “Tacori”
- Sarah Johnston: Two Silver ADDYs for “OPI” and “Hawaiian Tropic”
- Brandon Roberts: Silver ADDY for “Revlon”
- Jennifer Mozeke: Three Gold ADDYS for “Powerade,” “Monster.com,” and “Trojan Condoms”
- Fred Kalil: Silver ADDY for “Guitar Love”
- Vrinda Patel: Three Gold ADDYs for “Precious Jewels Wedding,” “Precious Jewels,” and “Anti-drug”
- Lynlee Wood: Two Silver ADDYs for “Coppertone” and “Land of Pools”
- Ashton Brown: Three Gold ADDYs for “Eco-friendly,” “Unbeatable Protection,” and “No Smoking”; Silver ADDY for “Sweet Dreams”
- Sarah Sisk: Gold ADDY for “iPod”
- Matthew Bryan: Silver ADDY for “A Kid at Heart”
- Charly Girod: Gold ADDY for “David Yurman”; Two Silver ADDYs for “Tiffany and Co” and “Diamond Lips”
- Summer Bradley: Gold ADDY for “Oil of Olay – Dry Skin”
- Mark White: Silver ADDY for “Harley D.”
- Nina Krey: Gold ADDY for “Naturalizer”
- Abby Leleux: Two Gold ADDYs for “Orbits” and “Michelob”
The following students won with newspaper ad entries:
- Kalil: Gold ADDY for “Guitar Love"
- Emily Giger: Silver ADDY for “Coffee Bean”
Concerning Judges’ Awards, Mozeke won the Spirit Award for “Trojan Condoms,” Patel won The Woman’s Best Friend Award for “Precious Jewels,” and Krey took home the Best Use of Retro Award for “Naturalizer.”
Bradley was awarded the Best of Show for “Oil of Olay – Dry Skin.”
The recipients of five $400 textbook scholarships for the fall 2008 semester were also announced at the luncheon. Sisk, Charles A. Lewis, Braddock, Girod, and Leleux were the winners.
