Louisiana Political Science Association to hold annual conference at ULM Feb. 8 - 9
The Louisiana Political Science Association is holding its annual conference Friday, Feb. 8 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 9 from 8 a.m. - noon, at the ULM Student Union Building.
LPSA membership is open for political science students and faculty. The general public may attend without paying.
Dr. John W. Sutherlin, assistant professor of political science and LPSA vice-president, said, "Based on the quality of papers and roundtable discussions, we are very pleased with what promises to be a wonderful two-day conference with people from across Louisiana. I am very proud of Dale Willson, a political science senior, who is presenting a paper for the first time at an academic conference."
According to The American Political Science Association Web site, the Louisiana Political Science Association was founded in 1972. Its annual meetings give political scientists across the state the chance to present current research while affording graduate and undergraduate students opportunities to sharpen their research and writing skills. The LPSA also contributes to the journal “Politics and Policy.”
