Outstanding SGA senators awarded service scholarships
On Tuesday, Nov. 25, the University of Louisiana at Monroe Student Government Association awarded service scholarships to five outstanding senators.
The awards were presented at the annual Christmas meeting to Senator Emily Fuller, pre-rad tech major; Senator Chuck Ganley, financial accounting major; Senator Trevor Hall, business administration major; Senator Nathan Smith, business administration major; and Jason McCourt, biology major. President Micah Pulliam presided.
The SGA presented Christmas at ULM awards to Alpha Lambda Delta for the 2008 Outstanding Christmas Card, to Judicial Affairs for Outstanding Departmental Christmas Card, and to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home and the Children of Love Cottage in the form of a $500 check for help with Christmas.
Mortar Board, the national honor society, recognized Nick Quinpois, a pre-speech language pathology major and non-traditional student, and his family with a Christmas donation.
