ULM Child Development Center director and staff attend Southern Early Childhood Association Conference
Emily Williamson, director/lead pre-k 4 teacher/family and consumer science instructor; Cassandra Wyatt, lead pre-k 3 teacher; and Melissa Matthews, lead toddler teacher, of the ULM Child Development Center recently attended the Southern Early Childhood Association’s national conference in Covington, Ky., over spring break.
CDC Staff attended breakout sessions on early childhood topics and heard conference keynote speakers Dr. Sue Bredekamp, director of research at the Council for Professional Recognition in Washington, D.C., and Dr. Becky Bailey, internationally-recognized expert in child and developmental psychology and the founder of Loving Guidance, Inc., a company dedicated to creating positive environments for children, families, schools, and businesses.
Williamson also served on the conference committee as exhibits coordinator.
