Eta Sigma Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi recognizes new members
The Eta Sigma Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi at ULM recognized 11 new candidates for membership at its regular meeting Thursday, Sept. 27, with 43 students in attendance.
The new member candidates are:
- Haley Chop (a Winnfield junior)
- Kyia Hamilton (a East Camden, Ark., junior)
- Lindsey Posey (a Sterlington junior)
- Micah Pulliam (a Downsville junior)
- Joel Ramsey (a West Monroe junior)
- John Paul Randall (an Olla senior)
- Jonathan Ray (a Haughton sophomore)
- Thom Rogers (a West Monroe junior)
- Maggie Shuler (a Ruston junior)
- Rachel Stark (a Jefferson City, Mo., sophomore)
- Megan Wall (a Monroe junior)
Also, five member candidates who satisfied criteria for full membership were inducted. The new active members are:
- Connor Clark (a West Monroe junior)
- Joel Foret (a Monroe junior)
- Jaime Hill (a Monroe junior)
- Angela Guerrero (a Monroe senior)
- Drew Pendarvis (a Jena junior)
The chapter also just completed its first annual self-assessment report under the new Five Star Accreditation Program for Recognized Student Organizations at ULM. Organizations are rated in four categories: academics, university relations, external relations, and the self-evaluation. Having earned more than 90 percent of the points available for professional groups, the chapter qualified as a 5-Star Organization for the 2006-07 year.
