Christmas at ULM scheduled for Nov. 28
Come one, come all, come have a ball at Christmas at ULM, scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 5 p.m. in Scott Plaza. The public is invited to attend this fun-filled holiday celebration sponsored by the Student Government Association. Santa Claus will be in attendance, with treats for the children.
SGA President Brady Middleton will emcee the event.
Included in the festivities are a performance of Christmas carols by the University Chorale (led by Deborah Chandler, assistant professor of music) and the ULM Brass Quintets (conducted by Marilynn Gibson, also an assistant professor of music). Miss ULM Erica Durr will peform “O Holy Night.”
The winners of the giant-sized Christmas Card Contest will be announced. The SGA will present a Christmas gift to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home.
President James Cofer will carry out the annual tree lighting. A candle lighting and further singing will help usher in the holiday season. Refreshments will also be provided.
The event will directly follow the annual Employee Holiday Reception in the ULM Library, 7th floor, from 3 – 5 p.m.
