ULM parking lot closures along DeSiard begin May 14
In preparation for the parking lot improvement projects at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, all ULM parking lots along DeSiard Street will be closed starting Monday, May 14. The tentative reopening date is Monday, Aug. 13.
The DeSiard Street parking project will include new parking lots in front of all campus buildings along DeSiard Street, a new iron fence, signage and landscaping. The new parking lots, which will be completed prior to the fall semester, will be reconfigured to provide a safer entry and exit to DeSiard Street.
In addition to this project, ULM students will also enjoy the new Intermodal Transit Facility, which will provide 285 parking spaces for students. Work on the facility began in early April and is projected to be completed by this fall.
Lincoln Builders, Inc. of Ruston is the design/build contractor for both projects. TB Architecture is the design firm engaged by Lincoln Builders to design the new Intermodal Transit Facility.
