College of Pharmacy to host 34th annual MALTO meeting May 20 - 22
The University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy will host the 34th Annual MALTO Medicinal Chemistry-Pharmacognosy Meeting in Monroe, Louisiana May 20 - 22.
This conference is a research forum which allows graduate, undergraduate and professional students opportunities to present their research results and share discussion concerning the same. It also provides a valuable and enjoyable networking opportunity among individuals with medicinal chemistry, pharmacognosy, and related research interests in the broader Gulf South/Mid-South regions. There will be 34 presentations this year from six regional institutions.
The keynote address at this year's conference will be delivered by Peter A. Crooks, George A. Digenis Professor in drug design and discovery, from The College of Pharmacy at the University of Kentucky.
The MALTO organization was founded in 1973 and includes faculty and Students in pharmacy programs at institutions in the states of Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas, and Oklahoma.
