Art faculty exhibit at Schepis Museum

The Division of Art faculty of the University of Louisiana at Monroe is currently showing an invitational group exhibition at the Schepis Museum in Columbia.

In addition to being a multi-media presentation by professional practicing and exhibiting artists, the Schepis showing also allows for recruitment from Caldwell Parish,” said Robert Ward, professor of art.

The exhibition inventory includes:

• wheel thrown glazed stoneware, earthenware and raku utilitarian ceramics by Gary Ratcliff
  
  
• landscape acrylic paintings on canvas with diptych formats by Robert Ward
  
  
• polychromed soldered brass freestanding kinetic sculpture, as well as computer generated commercially printed advertising art in the form of logos, plaques, announcement cards, posters, brochures, T-shirt designs, programs and book covers by Brian Fassett
  
  
• figurative graphite drawings, and figurative bronze, steel and found object sculpture by Cliff Tresner
  
  
• non-objective silver gelatin photographs by Richard Hayes
  
  
• landscape acrylic on canvas triptych paintings, and figurative manipulated polaroid photographs by Joni Noble
  
  
• figurative found object effigy sculpture, and figurative color original prints espousing color relief, lithographic and intaglio techniques by Jason Clark
  
  
• photographic collages with mixed media embellishments by Camille Jungman
  
  
• wheel thrown glazed stoneware utilitarian ceramics by Wayne Horton.

The faculty was honored with an opening reception at the museum on Sunday, March 4.

The ULM exhibition will be on view through May 4. Located at 103 Main Street in Columbia, the Schepis is open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays.
