Brown portrait unveiling scheduled for Feb. 15
The portrait of T.O. Brown, the dynamic former Ouachita Parish school superintendent crucial to ULM’s formation, will return to the namesake hall’s lobby Thursday, Feb. 15 at 10:30 a.m.
During ULM’s recent yearlong celebration of its 75th Anniversary, the portrait of Brown traveled from place to place and celebration to celebration.
“Brown’s vision and energy drove the founding of Ouachita Parish Junior College, which grew into this magnificent university of today,” said President James E. Cofer, Sr. “Now it is time to once again honor him by returning his portrait to the hall named in his memory.”
Cofer and Nan Salisbury, Brown’s granddaughter, will host a small reception following the unveiling of the portrait.
