RADT graduates have highest pass rate on certification exam
ULM’s 2006 department of radiologic technology graduates have set the bar at its highest with a one hundred percent pass rate for their certification examination on the first attempt. Their scores are the highest in the nation.
The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists has released the 2006 Annual Report of Examinations in which ULM’s graduates showed their excellence.
The mean scaled score for the ULM graduates was 88.6 compared to 85.8 and 84.8 for all state and national programs, respectively.
”I am extremely proud of all our graduates and their accomplishments,” said Jay Hicks, RADT department head and assistant professor. “Their hard work and dedication in becoming quality health care practitioners is witnessed by this accomplishment.”
According to Hicks, the previous 5-year ULM averages had the pass rate at 91 percent with an ARRT mean scaled score of 83.2.
