ULM integral part of Masur Museum of Art exhibition
The University of Louisiana at Monroe is well represented at a current Masur Museum of Art’s exhibition titled “The Love of Art: The Art of Love.”
The exhibition is curated from local collectors professing a love for the collection of art objects.
A number of pieces by artists connected through ULM have been included in this collection:
- student Joni Dollar is represented by a portrait acrylic painting
- faculty members Camille Jungman by a landscape hand-toned silverprint photograph
- Gary Ratcliff by a wheel-thrown glazed stoneware bowl,
- Robert Ward by a portrait graphite drawing
- art alumni Adam Davenport by a portrait oil painting
- Lou Davenport by a still life watercolor
- Philip Peyton by a non-objective mixed media freestanding sculpture
- Mart Lou Rountree by a still life watercolor
- Marc Swayze by a figurative oil painting
- Cynthia Weirick by a figurative oil painting
- Jerry Wilson by a figurative mixed media drawing.
The exhibition will continue through March 4.
The museum, located at 1400 S. Grand St., is open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesdays – Thursdays, and from 2 – 5 p.m. Fridays – Sundays.
